Our Beach to Bush program, creating inclusive spaces within Karlkurla Bushland Park
Beach to Bush is an extension of our Cycling Without Age – Sorrento programme and is proof that when we collaborate, we create impact – and that everyone deserves to feel included, valued, and connected. We see so much joy in reaching unserviced areas, giving the most vulnerable an opportunity to experience a bike ride, often for the first time in years, or ever.
Our inaugural trip to Kalgoorlie in May 2025 saw nearly 200 people with limited mobility enjoy continuous rides through the beautiful Karlkurla Bushland Park, Kalgoorlie. The success of this led to our return in May 2026, where we strengthened existing relationships and built new ones, with future visits already in the works.
The true value of our work lies not in the ride itself. The Trishaws are simply the vehicles we use to create meaningful opportunities for connection and participation. Through our rides, our passengers are able to access social spaces that may not otherwise be available to them, strengthening their connection to the community around them. It is these lasting social and emotional benefits that help people remain socially relevant, connected and engaged within the communities they live in and love.
